If you're reading this, then you may have noticed that the URL for this site changed slightly such that the page is now served via https. That's thanks to an EFF project called Let's Encrypt that enables free, automated certificates to secure web traffic over the wire. (While the project has been around since April 2016, I only got around to installing it now)

The process is super-simple, and even quicker than you might think (if you ever obtained a certificate from Verisign, why yes, that is a breath of fresh air you're noticing).
